Erjia received her Bachelor in Polymer Science at Zhejiang University. She did her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at University of California, Davis in the group of Professor Bruce C. Gates. Erjia's research focuses on understanding structure-performance relationship of solid catalysts at atomic and molecular levels. She studied molecular metal catalysts supported on metal oxides and zeolites and used synchrotron-based spectroscopy to characterize their structures. Erjia is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Anatoly Frenkel's lab at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
