David is a Ph.D student in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.  He is being co-advised by Prof. Cynthia Friend and Prof. Efthimios Kaxiras.  His research area is in computational catalysis, specifically surface restructuring in Pd/Ag catalysts for selective hydrogenation.  Before coming to Harvard, he pursued B.A. Chemistry and B.S.E. Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, while doing research in DFT modeling of magnetoelectric coupling in multiferroic oxides under Prof. Andrew Rappe.
