The Journal of Physical Chemistry C has published a special Cynthia Friend Festschrift Issue. The issue brings together papers from Prof. Friend's colleagues, including many IMASC members, celebrating her outstanding contributions in the fields of surface science and catalysis. As part of the issue, Prof. Friend has written a Personal Perspective on a Life in Science, covering her remarkable career so far, and providing insight on many topics: from calculated risks and gender (in)equity through science, wonderful colleagues, the EFRC, and even golf.
