Wei Chen is a research associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He did his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University under the direction of Prof. Efthimios Kaxiras. He received his BS from University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD from University of Tennessee. His PhD thesis focused on the theoretical exploration of the growth and functionality of layered materials. He is currently working on the heterogeneous catalysis and the novel properties of two-dimensional heterostructures.
