Dr. Jeffrey Miller

Harvard EFRC Executive Director
Jeff Miller

Dr. Miller obtained his PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University. He conducted experiments to understand the exotic states of matter that exist in two-dimensional systems at various magnetic field strengths, including the use of non-Abelian particles for topological quantum computing.  He was one of the original members of Microsoft's Project Q effort to demonstrate a topological quantum computer. Since 2008, Dr. Miller has been using his nanotechnology, materials, statistics and organizational expertise to help find ways to reduce carbon emissions, including projects on nanotechnology-enhanced solar cells, novel battery technologies, and the rational design of more efficient catalysts.
