Evgeniy Redekop joined the Center for Materials Science and Nanotechnology (SMN) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oslo as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2015, where he is collaborating with Prof. Unni Olsbye on time-resolved kinetic characterization of zeolite-mediated reactions. He received his PhD/MSc from the Department of Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering (EECE) at Washington University in Saint Louis in 2011, working on novel techniques of transient data analysis in catalytic kinetics. Temporal Analysis of Products (TAP) and complementary catalyst characterization techniques have been the focus of his research ever since. In 2012-2014, Evgeniy was a Marie Curie postdoctoral research fellow in the Laboratory for Chemical Technology at Ghent University in Belgium, where he applied a diverse set of tools to investigate Pt-based bimetallic catalysts for alkane dehydrogenation. His current research interests include catalysis by nanoporous materials and reducible metal oxides, fundamentals of transient chemical kinetics, and methodology development for time-resolved catalyst characterization.
