Ioanna Fampiou

Ioanna is a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University under the direction of Prof. Efthimios Kaxiras. She received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 from University of Massachusetts Amherst and an undergraduate Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2008 from the National Technical University of Athens. Her doctoral thesis focused on investigating the electronic and catalytic properties of platinum nanoclusters on defective graphene using computational modeling techniques and density functional theory. She is currently working on theoretical modeling of methanol coupling on nanoporous Au surfaces using density functional theory and microkinetic modeling.
