The very first IMASC-wide young investigator symposium was organized by the young investigators for the young investigators in order to play a significant role in advancing the strategic objectives of the center. This event provided them an opportunity to foster peer mentoring, gain leadership experience, facilitate collaborations and in a proactive way iron out potential conflicts arising from possible misunderstandings. The team deliberated on the status of center-wide collaborative projects and manuscripts for publication and came up with a plan to prepare a scientific review article highlighting the unique contribution of IMASC’s efforts towards developing design principles for increasing selectivity and lowering operating temperatures to reduce energy expenditure.
